Pastor Murvel Williams

Pastor Murvel is a native born Jamaican; one of eleven siblings. He was baptized at the young age of fifteen (15) and receive the Holy Ghost shortly thereafter. Preached and taught Sunday school at age 17 and he was Youth President as well as the Outreach Leader. Pastor Murvel was appointed as a national Evangelist and Regional Youth President of the Emanuel Apostolic Church Inc. in Jamaica along with Assistant Pastor Keith Williams who was also the Assistant Pastor of the Middlesex Emanuel Apostolic Church.

Pastor Murvel migrated to the United States in 1980 and become a member of the Greater Bethany Community Church, under the direction of the late Bishop Robert W. McMurray. Pastor Murvel immediately immerses himself in the ecclesiastical ministry, by teaching and ministering as an instructor of Bethany Bible Institute. He ministered to Youth and Young Adults adjutants/assistants. Pastor Murvel was also a former student of Aenon Bible Collage. Pastor Murvel was ordained as an Elder by the Late Bishop Robert W. McMurray in 1990 where he served as one of his executive leader. Upon joining the Greater Bethany Community Church Ministerial Alliance board Pastor Murvel was elevate from a team leader to executive board member. Later he became president of the ministerial Alliance board leading 250 plus ministers that were aspirants to ordination while providing them complete educational and curriculum training.

Pastor Murvel was among the five founding members of the Greater Bethany Community Church prison ministry. He later became director of this ministry known as “City Of Refuge Wings Of Love Prison Ministry” Under the Pastoral leadership of Bishop Noel Jones. He also served as a member of the board of Pastors. Pastor Murvel is a great administrator, and organizer of ministry as well as a counselor, teacher and preacher of the word. With the blessing of his pastor Bishop Noel Jones he was allowed to assist Life Changing Ministries, Dr. David A Horn as his Ecclesiastical Director.

Pastor Murvel is also the founder and director of Jamaica Care Ministry International, a ministry that helps to provide basic assistance to family members and children in the island of Jamaica especially students who are financially struggling to attend school.

Pastor Murvel is also Chief Operations Officer of Cover The Children Ministries (CTCM) Inc. CTCM is also a ministry that ministers to financially, economically disadvantage families, providing a monthly food and clothing distribution and other assistance, founded by and directed Pastor Amanda Mayo.
